ABOUT ME
My name is Rose Sharon Puls (a.k.a. #FairyProofmother). I’m a wife, mother and grandmother. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since I was seventeen years old. We have two children, five grandchildren, multiple grandpets (including cats and chickens) and a basset hound named Boudreaux (a.k.a. Bo).
I live in Texas and am guilty of saying y’all. I’m a nature lover, and spending time outdoors is my favorite thing to do. Day or night, it doesn’t matter. I love the fluffy clouds, the moon and the stars equally. Listening to the birds sing and feeling the breeze on my skin makes me happy.
Of course, I’m a book lover. I am blessed to be able to read books by some of my favorite authors as a career. How cool is that? My bestie Tricia and I love to attend Texas book events together and meet our favorite authors in person.
I’ve made many wonderful friends from all over the world online and at book events. I admit I have a serious addiction, and yes, my bookshelves are overflowing (no, I don’t need an intervention). I’d rather get new shelves than stop collecting books. I especially treasure the ones gifted to me by my clients.

I promise to do my very best for you. I never want to overcorrect so that your style is affected. I love it when authors create their own words that are not in the dictionary. But if it is in the dictionary, I will make adjustments as needed, such as hyphenation, capitalization or if it should be an open or closed compound. I follow the Chicago Manual of Style guidelines and the Merriam-Webster dictionary. But… You are the author, and the book is your baby. If you choose to do something a particular way that is different, just let me know, and I’ll make a note not to change it going forward.
It’s not required, of course, but I love it when you mention me as the proofreader in your books. I love what I do, and being part of your journey is so special to me. I’m a fangirl. I especially love collecting paperbacks of the books that I’ve worked on. I call them my “bookshelf beauties.” If I ever meet you in person at a book event, I might embarrass myself.
